Another landmark, the Point of View sculpture, sits on the western end of Mount Washington. It depicts George Washington meeting the Seneca leader Guyasuta in October 1770. One of Pittsburgh’s most popular scenic vistas is Mt. Washington, which has become an icon of the city. The Blockhouse is one of the oldest buildings in Pittsburgh. It was built in 1764, making it the oldest building west of the Alleghenies. It’s a must-see if you’re in the area.
